Pip's Laundry Improv Comedy
Andy Arcese - Actor / Improviser
Andy has been working in improv for nearly 8 years now. He has also performed
in various other productions for crowds of thousands in performances such as
"Grease", "The Legacy", and "The Champion". One of Andy's greatest acting
abilities is character personification, and he is possibly best known for his
"grandfather", "Inspector Dufas", and "Sean Connery" characters. Andy is also a
strong sketch writer and many of his sketches, including "Conversations with God"
have been performed nationally. Andy's passion for life shows through his acting,
giving Andy a strong presence in Pip's Laundry.
Brandon Dorr - Actor / Improviser
Brandon has been performing improvisational comedy for over 10 years. He is
often remembered for his impersonations of boy bands such as the "Backstreet
Boys" and 'N'Sync" and can be described as the "straight man" of Pip's. Brandon's
straight approach to comedy helps add realism, depth, and believability to each
sketch (and the team as a whole). Brandon has also written in and starred in
several local commercial spoofs including his most noted - Invisible Action Figures
became an instant classic.
Chris Steurnagel - Actor / Improviser
Coming from a family of entertainers, the stage comes naturally to Chris. In fact, he
was on stage before he could walk. Chris has been performing improv comedy for
over 10 years now, and is the most travelled member of the team, having
performed in 46 states and 5 countries. His humor is often described as
quick-witted, "brainy", and often wildly sarcastic. And his versatility is a powerful
tool in improv. Chris has starred in and written several large scale productions and
was the driving force behind several mystery dinner theater productions (including
"Becky Sue's Wedding"), holiday productions, and nationally performed sketches.
Rob Rowe - Actor / Improviser
Rob has been doing improv for 9 years. He is best known for humor that is full of
life, zany, and off the wall. He also brings to the group an amazing sense of
spontaneity - which is vital to improv. And though he has done a lot of other acting
in a variety of productions, improv is definitely his strong suit. Rob also brings to
the table quality writing experience as well - having written for, among others, one
of Wayne Brady's live shows. And ladies watch out - Rob is the only single
member of Pip's Laundry, so catch him while you can.
Nadeem Merchant - Musician / FX Coordinator
Nadeem is the newest member of Pips, having been with the team just over a year.
But he has quickly become a great asset. With his multi instrument abilities
(including guitar, piano, and several other instruments) it is easy to see why he has
been such a quick fit. Nadeem also adds to the team sound effects, musical
backgrounds, and other effects / ambiance as desired. And he brings to the team
many years of professional musical experience. His abilities add style, class, and
versatility to the team as a whole.
