Pip's Laundry Improv Comedy
Pip's Laundry team members have
been studying and performing
improvisational comedy and comedic
sketches since 1997. In 1999 the team
travelled locally in the Tampa Bay area
under the name "A-Team Improv."
After just one year the team changed
its name to Total Eclipse Improv and
began touring statewide, then
regionally, and eventually nationally.
The team travelled throughout most of the continental US and
Canada, often being on the road for 10 months of the year and not
being home for 6 months @ a time. After a few years, it became
obvious that the team could not continue this lifestyle and many of
the team members "settled down" and got married @ home in the
Tampa Bay area. But the team wasn't ready to give up on improv
comedy completely. In fact, just the opposite. With a fresh focus
and another name change - this time to Pip's Laundry - the team
was ready to begin performing again. This time limiting their
performances (both in number and show location) to allow time for
their families and church ministries. The team now performs
throughout the Tampa Bay area and statewide primarily, with
weekend shows offered outside of the state.
